Skin tags are common skin growth which is narrow and protrudes from the surface of the skin. They are found around the neck, face, back, body and may be hyper pigmented. Skin tags are harmless and non-cancerous growths. They are more often found in men and are generally removed when they cause discomfort.

RF Removal

It involves ablative radiofrequency technology. The waves emitted are effective in removing protruding tags on the skin without a trace. Skin tag removal is permanent and it cannot regrow. Radiofrequency removal is a painless procedure that is typically conducted within 30 mins to 1 hr.

This procedure may cause redness, tenderness and irritation. Avoiding sun exposure is advisable and using sun protection of 30+ SPF is recommended. There is no downtime but, the treated area would require 10 to 14 days to heal.

Surgical Removal

  • Surgical removal is performed on skin tags using excision techniques to remove the protruding tissue mass.
  • This procedure may cause redness, irritation, scarring (keloids), tenderness and bruising. Avoiding sun exposure is advisable and using sun protection of 30+ SPF is recommended. No makeup is to be done prior-treatment or post-treatment. There may be downtime depending on the surface area of the procedure.
