Mons Pubis Reduction

Mons lift - Mons Pubis Reduction

An enlarged mons pubis is caused by

  1. Hormonal changes.
  2. Being overweight.
  3. Giving birth also changes the fatty tissue.

Diet and exercise can help only a little

The procedure

  • The mons pubis can be reduced by liposuction. The mons pubis that sags downward presents an excess of skin. This should be removed. The mons pubis is then tightened by removing an elliptical section of skin above the mons pubis. The scar is very fine and runs above the mons pubis, as after a Caesarean section. If there is already a scar from a C-section, it will be removed with this procedure.
  • Local anaesthesia is sufficient for mons pubis reduction. We prefer general anaesthesia for larger regions or for more extensive tightening of the mons pubis. Post operative tight underwear that provides compression on the mons pubis. That should be worn for about 4 weeks. You will be able to resume work after 2-5 days.
